Bobcat has been part of Dobříš for 25 years. What began in 2001, building on the town’s tradition of construction equipment manufacturing, has grown into one of the brand’s key European campuses. Development, a prototype workshop, testing facilities, production, logistics, and a training centre work side by side, so ideas go all the way from the first concept to the assembly line. Dobříš is also home to Bobcat’s headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Today, machines from Dobříš go to work in more than 70 countries, carrying Czech engineering, skills, and know-how with them. This anniversary is a chance to show what we've built here over a quarter of a century, and to thank the people who made it happen.

Through People

Bobcat’s story in Dobříš has always been shaped by its people. In 2001, we were a local employer with around 300 employees. Today, we are one of the largest employers in the region. As production grew, so did our teams, their skills, and their expertise. The campus brings together colleagues of more than 40 nationalities. They work across functions, roles, and backgrounds, and their different perspectives help drive innovation. Together with the stability and support of the Dobříš region, this international team has helped shape Bobcat into the company it is today.

Supporting education has been part of the Bobcat story for many years. Through programs such as STEAM Your Future, Career Day and Girls Day, we help students discover the world of modern manufacturing, technology and engineering while exploring future career opportunities.

Pupils and students are welcome to our manufacturing plant, Innovation Center and professional departments through site tours, workshops and meetings with our experts. These experiences provide insight into real working environments and help bridge the gap between education and industry.

We also maintain strong relationships with universities such as CTU and CZU. Through career fairs and ongoing collaboration, we connect students with industry professionals and real-world experience. In addition, we support schools and educational projects through expert lectures, equipment donations and employee involvement, helping create learning environments that prepare future generations for success.

Our goal is to inspire the next generation of talent and help them discover what is possible.

Over the past 25 years, the Dobříš site has expanded far beyond manufacturing. The addition of the Bobcat Institute, Innovation Center and EMEA Headquarters transformed the campus into a place that brings together learning, innovation, leadership and production in one place.
